Creating experiences that break free of the 'rectangle on the wall' framing of traditional media, and provide visitors with an experience that is only acheivable at large scale is exciting for all of us at beVR. We have been working in the internet, interactive and film industries for many years, delivering interactive exhibitions, creative tools and the highest calibre of technical support, whatever it takes to get the job done.
Coral Reef Interactive
Currently in proof-of-concept implementation, this project has been conceived as a marine environment awareness project.
Using a large-scale interactive format, and incredible realtime 3D graphics, this project has a strong message to match its visual
impact. Click here for more information.
Game development for Desktop, Android and iOS platforms, using a variety of tools and techniques is one of our core interests. Making worlds, and bringing them to life is what we love to do.
Our current project with a working title of 'Torpedo Time' is a shoot-em-up game in the style of 'Bullet Hell' top-down shooters. Realised in a fun, fully 3D style, it is designed for phones and other mobile devices. Created with Unity3D, you will pilot your submarine to victory, and blast everything you can see!

The Beaver Game
Bringing 'The Beaver Game' to life is one of our pet projects - set in a lake/forest environment, you must harvest your logs, build your dams and dodge angry bears to progress. We've had a lot of fun working on this game so far, and hope to give it some more love in 2016. Click here for more information.
Virtual reality and augmented reality are the new frontiers in interactive and immersive graphics - beVR has been experimenting with virtual reality for some time, since the first Oculus Rift developer kit became available, and we are really excited about the experiences first generation products from Oculus and HTC/Valve will enable for users. beVR is building a VR studio and technology hub in the Wellington CBD, and has desk space available for people with interesting projects in VR and/or gaming.
Absurdly Graphical Debugging
Absurdly Graphical Debugging is a mini-game that was produced for, and exhibited at Kiwicon X, NZ's hacker/infosec conference. Click here for more information.
Using stereoscopic panoramic renderings to visualise interior and exterior spaces, aimed primarily at mobile VR. Click here for more information.
'Power Loader' Exoskeleton Vive demo
Inspired by scenes from a famous scifi movie, we are building a fun demo for room-scale VR, which involves operating a giant, powered exoskeleton.Click here for more information.
beVR design and build applications and craft custom solutions using a wide variety of software components across a diverse set of platforms. 3D graphics, video I/O and image processing are specialties.
Bringing ideas to life, bridging the gap between the digital and physical world, and making computers do interesting things is not just work to us.
Systems and Workflow
Sometimes the job simply has to get done and current procedures, tools or systems aren't up to the job. We can provide solutions in:
Hardware and networking - from firewalls to SANs, we can construct and support it.
OS and Provisioning - we provide solid platforms based on Redhat or Debian.
Server software and workflows - Using locally-hosted, or cloud-based systems, we can get your information where it needs to be.
Custom requirements - Modifying existing tools, or creating entirely new ones from scratch.
Working on international exhibitions and Hollywood films means understanding that for you, failure to deliver is simply not an option.
We specialise in Linux and Open Source systems. If it is broken, or not working to your satisfaction, it is highly likely we can analyse the problem and fix it, fast.
